Aliya R. Aaron, MSHS, BSN, RN
Founder & CEO, Nursing Innovation Hub (NIHUB) & AMR Healthcare Consulting

Aliya has over 20 years of healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse, Consultant, Software Developer and HealthTech Entrepreneur. By combining her clinical expertise working as an intensive care and trauma nurse, with her software systems design and system engineering background, as well as her health systems management education, Aliya has successfully spearheaded technology implementations for healthcare organizations across the nation.

Prior to establishing AMR Healthcare Consulting, a software development and solutions firm, Aliya was position as a Healthcare Technology Consultant for the US Department of Veteran Affairs, working directly with the VHA Chief Health Informatics Office, as a Outcomes Nurse Consultant for Allscripts ensuring their EHR drives real clinical and financial organizational improvements, and as a Clinical Strategist with Cerner, developing and driving successful clinical engagements.

As an established leader in the field of nurse-led technology innovation, Aliya has turned her focus to establishing the Nursing Innovation Hub (NIHUB) as a global technology platform designed to provide reach, visibility, community, education and resources for nurses and software developers seeking to create high-tech heathcare solutions. NIHUB’s goal is to foster the creation of solutions that enhance delivery of care and improve patient outcomes with the use of innovative technologies. NIHUB is breaking down silos that currently exist with nurse-led technology innovation.

She was recently honoured as CIO Review’s 20 Most Promising Healthcare Consulting/Service Companies 2019 and as South Florida’s Top Black Healthcare Professionals 2019. Aliya has been featured in CIO Review, Women in Tech Review, Med Tech Outlook, Legacy Magazine, Today’s Purpose Woman, Journal of Nursing Informatics, and the International Archives of Nursing and Healthcare. Aliya has a Master of Science in Health System Management from George Mason University of Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University.

Carole A. Klove, RN, JD 
Chief Nursing Officer, Elemeno Health

Carole has over 30 years of experience in healthcare as a nurse, attorney, consultant, executive, and innovator. Beginning as a registered nurse, serving in a trauma center in Los Angeles, she then went on to law school and began practicing in a small boutique firm focusing on litigation. She then joined and became a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine, LLC, a national general practice firm, focusing on advising and assisting health care clients across the continuum of healthcare on regulatory and operational issues. Carole was recruited as a partner/principal to Deloitte where she helped to build a national health care regulatory practice. With a passion for health care operations and improvement, she became the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer at Stanford and then at UCLA. At Stanford, she helped to form Spectrum, an interdisciplinary center that facilitates health research across the university. Most recently before joining Elemeno Health in 2016, she was a senior leader at UCSF leading process improvement and governance projects and processes surrounding innovation.

Currently, Carole serves as the Chief Nursing Officer for Elemeno Health which is a point of care “microlearning as a service” cloud-based solution to drive consistency of practice, elevate quality, empower the frontline and engage teams!  Carole has been part of Elemeno Health since it was founded in 2016 and has helped design and shapes the application to ensure that the bedside team is equipped with the information they need when they need it the most – at the point of care. As someone who has been part of the C Suite in Healthcare Systems, Carole knows how important it is to be innovative and help healthcare systems drive consistency of practice at the frontlines, improving patient safety and outcomes at scale, while lowering costs, while at the same time engage teams and ensure a feedback loop exists for the frontline teams to be part of the solution!

Kevin Meek
Executive VP, SitePoint Healthcare Partners

Former VP, Patient Care Services and Clinical Operations at Adeptus Health | Former CNO at OASIS Hospital

Healthcare first piqued Kevin’s interest when he was a teen volunteer at the Orange, CA hospital where he was born. After working as an ambulance EMT for many years, Kevin chose to continue his healthcare career by becoming an RN, providing care in such settings as Trauma ICU, Emergency Room, Trauma Room, and Post-Surgical units. He has been an advocate for patients and their families as a bedside RN, as well as an advocate for his staff as a Charge Nurse, Director, Chief Nursing Officer, and Vice President.

Kevin earned his Master’s in Healthcare Innovation from Arizona State University and is one of a small few in the nation to hold this degree. Combined with a nursing degree, public speaking degree, and organizational leadership degree, Kevin brings a unique perspective and approach to clinical integration and innovation.

Kevin has served as a clinical and professional advisor on several healthcare boards, been published in various journals, and speaks nationally at conferences on patient engagement and clinical integration and innovation.

Tim Raderstorf
Chief Innovation Officer – College of Nursing at Ohio State University

As the first nurse to hold this academic title in the United States, he takes great pride in educating the nation on the role of the nurse as an innovator and entrepreneur. In 2017, Tim founded The Innovation Studio, a makerspace/idea incubator Frankensteined together to provide interprofessional healthcare teams with the tools and mentorship needed to turn ideas into actions. To date, the Innovation Studio has provided over $120,000 in grants to Ohio State teams and was named a 2018 Top Innovations of the Year from InfectionControlTips and the 2018 Columbus Business First BizTech Outstanding Service Award. As a result of his work at the Innovation Studio, Tim was named the 2018 Early Career Innovator of the Year at The Ohio State University.

In addition to his work as Chief Innovation Officer, Tim is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice in the Masters of Healthcare Innovation program at Ohio State. Outside of his university roles, he is the founder of Quality Health Communications, a digital platform that communicates real-time patient quality and safety metrics to the healthcare team and co-author of Evidence-Based Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Nursing and Healthcare: A Practical Guide for Success. He is also currently an Innovation Advisory Board Member with the American Nurses Association.

Dr. Zayna Khayat
Future Strategist, SE Health

Zayna knew she wanted to tackle the big challenges in the world and after a stint in consulting with SECOR-KPMG and Boston Consulting Group, and has been focusing on solving as she says, “the wicked problems in healthcare” since then. She carried out this mission as a Professor at the Ivey School of Business’ International Center for Health Innovation,  followed by leading the health system innovation with MaRS Discovery District, and as the “Innovation Sherpa In-chief” at the REshape Health Innovation Centre at Radboud University Medical Centre in the Netherlands. 

For the past two years, Zayna has been the Future Strategist at SE Health and is the spark that gets people thinking differently about how healthcare is delivered at home. She consistently asks the tough questions and engages in ‘real talk’ that challenges the status quo. The experience of getting close to patients through her work with SE Health has convinced Zayna that we’re on the brink of a perfect cocktail of change and what is coming in healthcare is nothing like we’ve seen before.
