September is Peripheral Artery Disease awareness month. PAD is a chronic circulatory condition, which if left untreated can result in unnecessary limb amputations.
Swift is partnering with the Save A Leg, Save a Life Foundation (SALSAL) to help them with their mission to reduce the number of lower extremity amputations and improve the quality of life of our fellow citizens who are afflicted with wounds and complications from diabetes and peripheral arterial disease.
As part of PAD Awareness Month, SALSAL along with the CardioVascular Learning Network and NACCME will be putting on a free 1-hr webinar on how to screen and manage PAD. This webinar is focused on healthcare providers, and there will be a follow-up webinar aimed at educating the community at large in the following week.
Swift’s Virtual Wound Module and Patient Connect App can assist with Virtual PAD Check Visits and will be featured in the training. Sign up for the Free Webinar Session happening on September 17th from 6pm – 7pm at: https://www.naccme.com/program/padawarenessmonth
