The study evaluated the feasibility, usability, and clinical outcomes of the Patient Connect app, which allows patients and caregivers to remotely share wound data with healthcare providers. In the study 28 patients with various chronic wounds, patients captured a median of 13 images per wound, submitting images every 8 days on average. The median wound closure rate was 80%, demonstrating the app’s potential. Feedback highlighted the app’s usability and ability to enhance remote monitoring. The study concludes that the Patient Connect app effectively engages patients in chronic wound care and improves clinical outcomes.
